Source notes
- The History of Butler Co., 1895 says that Christopher Wimer married Mary Sophia Snyder "of Adams county". This would have been York Co. at the time they married; however it appears they married in Lancaster Co., and lived in Adams Co. briefly.
- 1790 census for Christophel Wimer or family not found. If Sophia married in 1793, she would still be in the Snyder/Scneder family in 1790
- Paul Myers in "The Wimer Family" lists William & Isaac Wimer as born in Worth Twp., Butler Co. PA in 1807 & 1808. Their baptismal records are however in Westmoreland Co. PA. Joann Cupp lists them as born in Westmoreland. It could be that the family traveled to Westmoreland for the baptisms, as several of the Snyder family members may have resided there at that time.
