Bill DeHart attended Wheaton College (Wheaton IL), earned a BS in public administration from American University, Wash. D.C. His career in civil service included work with the Small Business Administration in San Francisco, and in industry with Lockheed in Sunnyvale CA. He co-founded and owned a printing company with wife Wilda from 1972 to 2000. He was an ardent family genealogist. Buried at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Elwood IL, with full military honors. Wilda grew up on a farm outside Pittsburgh PA, studied at Westminster College, & received a nursing degree from Univ. of Pittsburgh. As an RN she worked for 4 decades as a public health nurse &/or visiting nurse in VA, IL, & CA. She met & married Bill DeHart while assigned to the naval hospital in Norfolk, VA during WWII. They co-founded a printing company in 1972. They resided in Santa Clara & Scotts Valley CA before retiring to Palm Desert CA, then Santa Barbara. She died in Batavia IL & is buried at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Elmwood IL, next to her husband.
