Source notes
- Information on name, vital stats., and census extracts from correspondence of great-nephew Thomas G. Adams; no source given except for census; expect family records.
- Search using the ancestry.com engine for Kimball or Kimbrell in NC and SC gave no likely candidates in 1900 or 1930. Perhaps Charlie was imprisoned for census evasion.
- It is a problem that Sallie Elvie Thomas is cited as born 1879, but she does not appear as a member of the Andrew Lindsey Thomas household in the 1880 census. Her birth year varies a bit in the 1910 and 1920 census.
- There is some disagreement on the site of burial. Murphy Whisnant places her in Pleasant Hill Cem.
