11	Death of Elliot Stoughton in Mining Accident,Butler Citizen 2 May 1907; contibuted to us by A. Fix, Apr. 2011. Elliot Stoughon was working with 2 others, Hilary Whittington and Perry Wick, setting timbers at a mine near Claytonia. Stoughton was killed by falling slate and earth, the others survived but could not rescue him before he died. Elliot Stoughton was age 36, and lived with his mother Margaret Stoughton on the farm.
