John (Jack) McCandless in The McCandless and Related Families

[John (Jack) McCandless, son of Robert M. McCandless and Jane McCandless, married Margaret McCandless, daughter of William "Tailor Billy" McCandless. They resided on a farm on the Butler-Franklin road, later known as the Wigton farm. This couple died within one week of each other in 1844, and they are buried in the upper cemetery at Muddy Creek Church. Their children:

John T. McCandless married Eliza Jane Bryan.
William O. McCandless (Billy) died unmarried. He is buried in the upper graveyard above the present Muddy Creek Cemetery.
Polly McCandless married John McBride.
Julia McCandless married William Snyder. She died in 1844.
