Johann Claus Diederich

NOT A DIRECT ANCESTOR Johann Claus Dietrich is not in my direct ancestry. His great-grandchildren William and Louisa Dietrich married into the Frederick family. See: Children of John Frederick and Anna Catherine Kenemuth Members of the Dietrich and Jung families immigrated from Hitzerode, Germany, to Clarion County PA, as did the Frederick family.

At his baptism,Johann Claus Diederich's godfather was Claus Meuller. Claus was a church elderman, and possibly the mayor. At the baptism of his 3rd son, Johann Claus Diederich, the chid is noted as 3rd son of the mayor Johann Claus Diederich.
The father of Catherine Jung (wife of Johann Claus Diederich), was Johannes Jung. He died before 1780. Nothing further is known of this Jung family line.
