NOT A DIRECT ANCESTOR Johann Adolph Diederich is not in my direct ancestry. His g-g-grandchildren William and Louisa Dietrich married into the Frederick family. See: Children of John Frederick and Anna Catherine Kenemuth Members of the Dietrich family immigrated from Hitzerode, Germany, to Clarion County PA, as did the Frederick family.

A notation in the church record regarding Johann Adolph Diederich is "under the Hannoverian troops".

• Regarding Juliana Felmeden, Dr. Guenther notes that her record is impossible to establish because of gaps in the (church) record for some years.
• Nikolaus Diederich, apparently of the same generation as Johann Adolph Diederich, had a son Henrich who was confirmed in 1768, birth date calculated as 1754.
• The death record of one Johann Michael Diederich , "son of Adolf D., soldier (musketier) under the Danish troops" , states that Johann Michael died in Hitzerode on 15 June 1628, age 6 yrs less 3 months. The birth date calculates as Sept 1622. This is a curious record. This Adolf Diederich was born almost 80 years before Johann Adolph Diederich, above, unless the death date for son Michael was miss-transcribed (1728?). In that case the calculated birth date would be Sept 1722, and Michael would be a son of Johann Adolph, above. The child died young in any case, but it would be interesting to know if the Johann Adolph of this page possibly had an ancestor named Adolf Diederich
