Source notes
- The rented residence of Carl R & Ethel Bell Reib in 1920 was noted on census page as "Meadville Road Prospect Park" area. Today the main route to Meadville is Rt. 322, going north out of Franklin across French Creek, then turning sharply west and running along the creek. (The confluence of French Creek and the Allegheny River in Franklin is just south of this Rt. 322 crossing. Sugar Creek Twp. is the area north of this confluence, and is bordered on the south by French Creek and the Allegheny River.) Branching off of Rt. 322 is the Waterford & Susquehanna Turnpike. Just north of French Creek, where Rt. 322 turns sharply west along the creek, the turnpike continues directly north, then on northwesterly until reconnecting with Rt. 322. Thus the turnpike forms a shorter route toward Meadville, and may in fact be the older "Meadville Road". Similarly, branching off of the turnpike and a bit farther on reconnecting, is Prospect Road which, with Circle Road and Palmer Ave. today encircle Miller Sibley Field. This area is undoubtedly the Meadville Road Prospect Park neighborhood where the family rented a home in 1920. Just east across Palmer Ave. is the Franklin Cemetery.
- The address for Ethel Bell (Rieb) given in her obituary, was 1320 Liberty St. Liberty St. crosses the Meadville Pike (Rt. 322) 4 blocks south of French Creek (so in French Creek Twp.), and the address appears to be one or two houses west of the intersection.
