John Frederick Dietrich

Immigrant by 1840

NOT A DIRECT ANCESTOR John Frederick Dietrich is not in my direct ancestry. His son William Dietrich married Mary Frederick, and his daughter Louise Dietrich married Frank J. Frederick. Mary and Frank Frederick are related as follows: Siblings of Elizabeth Anna Frederick Children of John Frederick and Anna Catherine Kenemuth The Dietrich and Jung families immigrated from Hitzerode, Germany, to Clarion County PA, as did the Frederick family.

Johan Frederick Dietrich was born in 1822, confirmed at age 16, and worked as a wagon maker in Germany. He immigrated to America, and by 1840 was settled in Allegheny County PA. He wed Anna Elizabeth Meyers in PA and in 1849 their first child was born. In Oct. 1855 John Dietrich became a U.S. citizen.
