UNDOCUMENTED ANCESTRY

We find numerous sources with tantalizing data, but hesitate to adopt their findings when:

  • the lines of descent conflict from one web source to another.
  • documentation & sources are absent or insufficient
  • the sources listed are unavailable to us, so that scope or ambiguity can't be assessed

We offer this page as an ancestral possibility, with the caveat that it is unconfirmed by us.

We caution your use of this line of ancestry without further research and documentation. At present, we are posting this skeleton of names, to facilitate our research for primary & secondary sources. The source for this line [W1] does not give sources beyond "other family trees" presumably also on Ancestry.com. Resolved Waldron (born 1594) is said to have immigrated to New Amsterdam. His wife Maria Goverts however, who outlived him by 20 years, died in the Netherlands. She is supposedly born in 1610; their son Resolved Waldron is also supposedly born in 1610. The marriage date for Maria Goverts and Resolved Waldron (1594) is said to be 1603, seven years before her birth date. There are obviously errors; proceed with caution.
