Last Will of Wm. Stoughton
The last will and testament of William Stoughton of the township of Concord in the County of Butler and State of Pennsylvania. I Williams Stoughton considerring the uncertainty of this ___ life and being of sound mind and memory Do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (That is to say)First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary one Bureau two Beds and Bedding, one clock, one cow and four sheep. I five and bequeath to my youngest son John Stoughton (one sheep and colt). I give and bequeath to my eldest son A. J. Stoughton the sum of (one dollar)to be paid one year after my death. I give and bequeath to my oldest daughter Elizabeth Shoaf one dollar to be paid one year after my death. I give and bequeath to my second son Luke Stoughton one dollar to be paid one year after my death. I give and bequeath to my daughter Catharine thompson one dollar to be paid one year after my death. I give and bequeath to my son Elisha Stoughton one dollar to be paid one year after my death. I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Stoughton one dollar to be paid in one year after my death. I give and bequeath to my daughter Adella bortmass one dollar to be paid one year after my death. I give and bequeath to my son John Stoughton one dollar to be paid one year after my death. And lastly ___all the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate, goods, stock, chattels of what kind and nature___ I order to be sold according to law and applied to the payment of my debts, and after all my debts are paid, if there is any balance, I give and bequeath that balance to my wife Mary Stoughton and I make and ___ Elisha Stoughton and Robert C. Campbell Executors of this my last will and testament. and I hereby revoke all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 15th day of July A.D. 1863.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Wm Stoughton to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses thereunto.

Register's office, Butler Pa, Aug. 28th A.D. 1863. These personally appeared before me the subscriber Register for the probate of wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for siad county William Wick and J. P. Crawford the subscribing witnesses to the above and foregoing will of William Stoughton late of Concord Twp., deceased. They being duly sworn sccording to law did depose and say that they were present with the said William Stoughton at his residence on the fifteenth day of July AD 1863, and saw and heard the said William Stoughton the Testator therein ___sign seal publish and ___the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his last will and testament. The name of said Testator was written by Robert C. Campbell at the request of said deceased, he making his mark the___not being able to write from weakness, and that at the ___ of so doing the said William Stoughton was of sound and (disposing?) mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief, and they at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other signed their names the ___ witnesses.
