R1 | 1810 United States Federal Census, Kershaw, SC. Page 11 lists Jordan Ashley, head of household. Family includes: 1 male 10-15, 1 male 16-25, 1 male >44, 1 female 10-16, 1 female 16-25, 1 female >44. This would appear to be too early for the Ashley Jordan in generation 5, but that Ashley is indicated in the 1850 census as born in Lancaster Co, SC. Kershaw is located in Lancaster Co., just across the border from York Co. This could be his family, perhaps the head of household is his grandfather and one of the two younger males is his father.
R2 | 1800 United States Federal Census, Lancaster District, SC. Page 7 lists family of Jordan Ashley as follows: 1 male <10, 1 male 16-25, 1 male >44, 3 females <10, 2 females 10-15, 2 females 16-25, 1 female >45.
