Births & baptisms of children of Johann Heinrich Dittman & Elisabeth Horn Dittman, as well as a baptism record with Heinrich Dittman as sponsor, are found in the Reformed Church records of Rev. John William Weber (who came to Westmoreland from Northampton Co. PA in 1782). Weber served the congregation at Harolds, near Greensburg, Brush Creek, near Irwin, Pleasant Unity, and at Pittsburgh. Harrolds is now St. Johns; Brush Creek is still same name; Pleasant Unity is now St. Paul’s; & the early congregation at Pittsburgh is now called Smithfield. Weber also made circuit visits to congregations that met in private homes. It is not known where the recorded baptisms took place.
