Ref. Num. Description Image of original
R1 1955 New York State Census, Ward 22, E.D. 3, dated 14 Jun 1855, lines 1-7: John Moll, 43, lives with his wife Margt Moll, 40, their daughter Ann Moll, 15, their daughter Elizabeth Moll, 8, and their daughter Margt Moll Jr., 2. John and the elder Margaret were born in Germany and have lived in New York for 19 years. The children were all born in NY and have lived here their entire lives. John is a shoemaker, Margaret is a shoe binder. John is a naturalized voter. Margaret is an alien.

The names and ages in this census match well with the names and ages provided by the Robertsons in their research, except for the following points: Anna and Elizabeth are two different children (for the age to work out, Anna Elizabeth Moell would have to be Elizabeth in this census). Elizabeth is listed as having been born in New York, whereas in the 1910 census she is listed as being a German immigrant.
