Source notes
- Ancestry.com searches gave no good matches for Anna Elizabeth, Frank or Conrad Etzel prior to 1880.
- 1900 census (source 2) gives Conrad's birthplace as PA and birthdate as Dec. 1857. Anna Elizabeth Kenemuth and Frank Etzel were married in Hitzerode in 1856. This shows a likely immigration date of 1857 or 1856 for the Kenemuths and Etzels. Family tradition is that the Kenemuths immigrated after John Frederick and Anna Kenemuth arrived in 1852.
- It would appear from the gravestone of Rosa A. unknown that Conrad Etzel had a first wife who died at age 18.
