Here are some photos from the launch; click on them for the big picture. If you have additional pictures from the launch please mail them to Mouser. Also, if you recognize someone in a photo who isn't named in the caption, please let me know!

In conjunction with the launch, we held a contest of sorts, informally known as the "Mouser Explodo Invitational." Read all about it and see photos of amazing motor catos here.

We had a troop of Cub Scouts visit the launch. Here a group of them are watching a Fat Boy launch.

Mark Hamilton's all-paper V2 on an H97J. Unfortuantely, the ejection charge seems to have fizzled.

When the V2 "landed," the weakly-structured rocket crumpled and over-pressured the body tube, which proceeded to explode, leaving this.

The crash site of the paper V2 drew quite a crowd, which is probably good because it was in so many pieces it required quite a ground team to haul it back to the vehicles.

  Mark looks strangely happy.

Mark preps his Mars Lander with the help of wife Kersten. James looks on. The rocket flew on an H180W.

The Mars Lander flight was good, except it broke the suspension on one of its legs on the landing.

The booster section of Drew's Astrobee failed in the same way for the second flight in a row. The ejection charge was sufficient to eject the top half of the rocket, but somehow insufficient to extract the booster parachute. The resulting ballistic reentry had obvious disastorous consequences.

  Another funny face from Drew...

The Nerd Magnet takes off on its H128. The cloud cover that came in mid-way through the launch made all the later photos look somewhat dark.
