Zia Spacemodelers hosts monthly sport launches from 1:30 to 5:00 PM on the third Sunday of every month (except December, when it's the second Sunday).

The launches are held just north of Espaņola, NM. Click here (JPG, 33k) for a map to the launch site. All rocketeers are welcome, as are spectators. Although the Zia Spacemodelers club charges no launch fee, the BLM requires that we collect a fee of $4.00 per flier at each launch (or, the flier can pick up trash from the launch field for 30 minutes instead). Spectators may attend for free. The site can handle motors up to K impulse maximum and we generally have an FAA waiver for flights up to 5,000' AGL.
