| '''1901 Census of Scotland'''.  Ancestry.com index gives John W.N. Leckie, b. 1874 in Lanarkshire.  Also in this census are Margaret M. Leckie, b. 1878, spouse John W.N.; John McN Leckie, b. 1899; and Mary M. Leckie, b. 1900.  All live in Lanarkshire. <br>Note: These names and dates match well with family records with the exception of the W. abbreviation. (It is possible that  the mark transcribed as "W.N." in Ancestry.com's index  could have been intended as "McN"; we've not viewed the original census image).  From the index it is not clear if these names are grouped as a family unit.  And, there are numerous other Leckies with these first names in the 1901 census indexes.

1 1901 Census of Scotland. Ancestry.com index gives John W.N. Leckie, b. 1874 in Lanarkshire. Also in this census are Margaret M. Leckie, b. 1878, spouse John W.N.; John McN Leckie, b. 1899; and Mary M. Leckie, b. 1900. All live in Lanarkshire.
Note: These names and dates match well with family records with the exception of the W. abbreviation. (It is possible that the mark transcribed as "W.N." in Ancestry.com's index could have been intended as "McN"; we've not viewed the original census image). From the index it is not clear if these names are grouped as a family unit. And, there are numerous other Leckies with these first names in the 1901 census indexes.
