- The Butler County Cemetery Inventory Vol. 2, with transcriptions for United Church of Prospect, does not show John & Frances Gallagher having stones in that cemetery; they may have been buried without markers, or they may be now illegible. They were not observed in June 2007 by E. W. Williams while transcribing stones in that cemetery.
- Page search of Franklin Twp in 1860 census gave no results for John or Frances, although a younger John Gallagher is on p. 15.
