Conjecture

The script writing in the will of John I. King does not make it certain whether his initial is "I", or "J". The initial differs from the "J" used in his first name, but may differ because letters follow the "J" in "John". This problem of identically written "J"s and "I"s from this era is ubiquitous. His name may be John J. King.
