The last will and testament of John Stoughton of Muddy Creek township, Butler County. In the name of God I John Stoughton, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and Being of Sound mind and Memory, Blessed be almighty God for the same, Do make and ordain this my Last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say, First I give and Bequeath unto my Beloved wife Catherine Stoughton one third of my Real Estate During her Natural life together with the full enjoyment of the house I now live in with all and singular the household and kitchen furnishings with one cow and heffer and six sheep. I give and Bequeath to my son William Stoughton the sum of one dollar. I give and bequeath to my son Luke Stoughton the sum of on Dollar. I five and bequeath to my son Andrew Stoughton the sum of one Dollar. I give and Bequeath to my son John Stoughton the sum of one Dollar. I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Eufame Logan two Ewes and two Lambs. I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Hannah Stoughton one Bed and Bedding, one Cow and Calf, six Sheep, one ___ Bed and batt, and one Spinning Wheel. I give and Bequeath to my daughter Jane Stoughton one Bed and Beding, one Cow and Calf, Six Sheep, one bureau and one spinning wheel. I giveand Bequeath to my Son Jacob Stoguhton his heirs and asigns all that mesuage on tenement estate laying and Being in Muddy Creak township and County above said to hold to him the said Jacob Stoughton his heirs and asigns for ever together with One horse. I give and Bequeath to my son Barnard Stoughton _______ One hundred and twenty five Dollars when he shal arive at the age of Twenty one years and one hundred and twenty_______ Which my son Jacob Stoughton is hereby bound to pay the said Bernard Stoughton and my will and meaning is that in case my son Bernard Stoughton depart this life Before he arrives at the age of twenty one years, then and in such Case the (portion?) of him so Dying shall go to my Son Jacob Stoughton. I will that all my just Debts as shall Be by me Owing at my death together with my funeral Expenses and all Charges touching proving or otherwise Concerning this my will shall be fully paid and satisfied out of my personal Estate and effects. And I make and ordaian my son Jacob Stoughton and William Stoughton (Senior?) Executors of this my last will and testament.
