I George King of the county of Mecklenburg and State of N.C. of sound mind and memory do make and declare this my last will and Testament in the following form: First I give and devise the tract of land on which I now live to my three children Margaret, William Julius, & John, to be equally divided between them except one half of the gold mining interest which I give and devise to William J. King my 2d child. And whereas my two youngest sons are minors Now therefore my will and desire is that my brother Colin C. King is hereby appointed guardian of these my two children. Item 2d - And the balance of my property to be sold and the money equally divided among my three children. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint Collin C. King & Stephen Wilson my executors to all intents and purposes to execute this last will and testament according to the true intent and meaning of the same. In witness whereof I the said King do hereunto set my hand and seal this 21st of March 1847.
