Lorena Bernice Mayer grew up and lived her life in Brady Township, Butler Co. PA near the village of West Liberty.  Her paternal grandfather Mathias Mayer was born in Germany but died in Butler County.  In 1900 at age 78 he resided as a widower with his son James Benton Mayer's family.  Lorena Bernice Mayer was nine years old in that year, so knew this old German grandfather well.

Lorena Bernice Mayer grew up and lived her life in Brady Township, Butler Co. PA near the village of West Liberty. Her paternal grandfather Mathias Mayer was born in Germany but died in Butler County. In 1900 at age 78 he resided as a widower with his son James Benton Mayer's family. Lorena Bernice Mayer was nine years old in that year, so knew this old German grandfather well.
