Last night Nina and I caught the midnight premier of District 9 down at the big theater in Albuquerque. Excellent film. Somewhat gorey, but not in a gratuitous way. Together with Moon, it has been a good summer for science fiction films. District 9 borrows heavily from Alien Nation, with a smattering of The Fly. The lead actor, Sharlto Copley, who seems to have come out of nowhere, rocks this role. I'm looking forward to owning this one.
