SCIENCE!!

More science vs. government.

"SCIENCE!!" Comments

In my day-to-day work, I see a lot of stories like the one you've posted. I can tell already from reading the headline that someone is upset with the positive steps this administration is taking to honor the proper role of the church as the spiritual and moral guardian for the nation. What the author is surely arguing against is not the church's role in science, but rather the conflict between knowledge (i.e., science) and truth--the Lord.

I think that what we're seeing now is the first return to the positive values that this country was built upon, and it's agitating the progressives and the liberals. Maybe they just don't understand the gravity of their suggestions--what would this country be in a post-9/11 world if we weren't blessed with such an insightful and visionary leader as George W. Bush? We've been spiralling towards guaranteed damnation since our very first days out of the Garden of Eden, but most recently since the moral trangressions committed by the Nixon administration. It's good to see that the Republican party is cleaning the country up to the way it was originally intended to be: good, just, and guided by a strong Christian moral compass.

Liberals seem to be in an uproar because the administration's policy has been aggressively proactive in fulfilling the Lord's will. Abstinence programs, for example, have been academically documented to be more effective at guiding youths toward making better life choices than stopgap "sexual education" classes. The administration's steps in cutting back the ridiculous expenditures in science and technology is simply an acknowledgement that God has intended some things to be left unknown. Those scientists who do decry our Lord and Savior--and, I gasp when I consider that--don't fully appreciate the grevious sin that they undertake every single day.

How would you feel, for example, if you tried to use science to "explain" that the rapture could not possibly exist, and were instead left on Earth as the Lord's followers were whisked away to heaven? Would you recognize that science simply isn't adequate to explain the glory and beauty of the Jesus and his work?

I think you would.

Only the creator of the universe could have known about surface tension!
