The room is officially yellow. I painted my bedroom "Sun God" yellow. Ra! [so to speak].

Painting a room with a 13' ceiling is an enormous pain in the arse. And my arms are killing me. But the room is basically done and ready to be moved into. There is the small question of carpeting but I think I'm so excited to actually have a functioning room that I'm just going to move my furniture and stuff into it now and maybe put a throw rug down later.

While going to Home Depot to get spackle for use in the painting effort on Saturday, the ninja crashed her car into the median. The front left tire had a 3" gash in it and was way flat, but there was no other damage and we were fine. We had to flag down a tow-truck to change the tire because there was no jack or tire iron in the car. [NB: it turns out the jack and iron were present, but hidden in a secret hidden compartment where no one would ever look.]

As a result, I missed the Chinese New Year banquet which I was all excited about going to.
