i spent a lot of today enjoying the fact that i didn't have to go to class. i sat around and watched the marathon, and i read a book for fun.

i probably should have been reading my physics book, but i wasn't motivated.

helen stopped by my radio show tonight and we chatted about rubik's cube strategy and assorted other nerd topics. kept me from having to talk or anything like that on my show which probably would have been a disaster since i sound like a person who has a cold right now.

i played the entire howard zinn lecture CD. jason told me about his book, "a people's history of the united states," and it sounded really good. turns out he's a prof across the river at BU. his lecture is a lot like the stuff noam chomsky gives - anti american policy, anti plutocracy. good stuff. i'll have to read that book... eventually.
