so my little foray into ebay last night ended with my winning three auctions by the time i woke up this morning. now i have to send away my $20 to various people and they'll send me some nice coins that are missing from my collection.
this reignited my interest in coins, so i looked up the local coin shops in the yellow pages. there are about 8 of them in boston, and they're all on the same block of the same street downtown. i guess it's the 'coin district' or something. maybe that's a feature of older cities or something, but it seemed odd to me.
i finally remembered to go to my 6.270 meeting today. i hadn't been to one yet, and last week i didn't even remember that i had forgotten to go! anyway, i went today.
we mostly talked about ideas for the contest table. there was one suggestion that was just bad, and i suggested an improvement and then the debate went downhill and nothing was accomplished.
eventually everyone left but mike and i, and we sat there for an additional hour talking about robots and electronics and contest ideas and the 6.270 website. mike's probably the most hobby robotics knowledgable person at MIT, so it was good glean information from him.
