when we got up today, we drove to the movie store to return 'the big lebowski' and we rented 2001. jen had never seen it before, but she likes stanley kubrick. she didn't pick up on the monolith symbolism, and as a result was visably annoyed with the ending. i tried to explain it to her, but i didn't do it very well. anyway, she ended up saying she liked it a lot. so that makes me happy.
first, i've got her reading sci-fi books, then watching sci-fi movies.... maybe she'll start coding HTML next. but i doubt that.
i said my goodbys to patty and we drove off the the airport at 4:30. of course, arriving at the gate we found the plane to be delayed until 7:45. this sounds very familiar...
the pittsburg airport is remarkably like a mall. so we went to the food court and ate dinner at TGI friday's. the greeters groked my hair, it was funny.
i didn't get into the plane until 8:20. my flight was scheduled for 6:15. eastwind sucks. of course, jen had no problems with eastwind when she took it... in fact, she got here early. weird.
they're unreliable at best, anyway.
i got home just in time to rush off to radio show. i played slow, ambo music for the first hour in honor of eastwind's slow service. it actually ended up being the best show i've done yet. maybe it had to do with the 'alice in wonderland' excerpts i played over the music, or maybe it was because i didn't talk much.
i got some of the coins i won on ebay.com today. fun!
